‘Game of Thrones’ Star’s New Streaming Series Shatters Record

Game of Thrones was a hugely influential TV series that launched the careers of its actors into international stardom when it ended in 2019. Many of the cast members were relatively unknown before appearing on the HBO show, but since then, stars like Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, and Maisie Williams have become famous worldwide. They’ve all gone on to work on various projects, and Emilia Clarke’s newest film has already achieved a record-breaking success.

Ponies is a new spy thriller on Peacock starring Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson as two secretaries in Moscow. After their husbands die unexpectedly, they’re unexpectedly recruited as CIA agents. Although it just came out on January 15th, people are already discussing a second season, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. The show has quickly become a hit, breaking a viewership record in just a few weeks.

‘Ponies’ Gives Emilia Clarke the Highest Rotten Tomatoes Rating of Her Career

Currently, the show Ponies has a 96% rating on the Tomatometer and a 79% rating on the Popcornmeter on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite competing with the popular series Game of Thrones, Ponies is now Emilia Clarke’s highest-rated TV show. Although she’s appeared in other well-known shows like Secret Invasion and Robot Chicken, Ponies is currently her best-reviewed series. Remarkably, as of January 21st, only one critic has given the compelling show a negative review.

While Ponies has a great Rotten Tomatoes score, it’s not the only successful project Emilia Clarke has been a part of. She’s actually appeared in more films than TV shows throughout her career. Currently, her highest-rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes is The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland with 80%, followed by The Amazing Maurice at 73%, and Solo: A Star Wars Story with 69%. Although Game of Thrones boasts an 89% Tomatometer score, it featured a large cast. In some of these other films, Clarke has a more central and prominent role than even her iconic character, Daenerys Targaryen, in Game of Thrones.

Emilia Clarke is known for her strong acting, and her role as Bea in Ponies is already receiving a lot of attention. Critics have especially praised her chemistry with co-star Haley Lu Richardson, noting how well they portray the close, non-romantic connection between their characters.
