As a fan of the Jeepers Creepers series, I just found out we don’t have much time left to watch the most recent one on Hulu! Jeepers Creepers: Reborn is leaving the streaming service on January 26th, so if you want to see it there, you better hurry!
I’m really excited about the new Jeepers Creepers movie! It’s a complete fresh start for the series, directed by Timo Vuorensola and written by Jake Seal and Sean-Michael Argo. The story follows Laine and Chase, played by Sydney Craven and Imran Adams, as they travel to a huge horror festival in Louisiana. Chase is especially fascinated by the local legend of the Creeper, and honestly, it looks terrifying!
As the Creeper starts a new 23-day reign of terror, Laine and Chase are caught in a horrifying situation beyond anything they expected. The main cast of Jeepers Creepers: Reborn includes Pete Brooke, Ocean Navarro, Jodie McMullen, Georgia Goodman, and Romain Faure, alongside Craven and Adams. The film also features special guest appearances by well-known actors Dee Wallace and Gary Graham.
After a brief showing in US theaters for one weekend, Jeepers Creepers: Reborn became available to rent or buy on demand in 2022. The film only earned a little over $6 million in theaters and received very negative reviews from both critics and viewers.
Currently, Jeepers Creepers: Reborn has the lowest rating of any film in the Jeepers Creepers series on Rotten Tomatoes, earning a 0% “Fresh” rating from critics based on 15 reviews. Viewers haven’t been much kinder, giving it a 7% approval rating on the “Popcornmeter” after over 1,000 ratings.
What Does the Future Look Like for the Jeepers Creepers Franchise?
Despite hopes for another Jeepers Creepers movie, it doesn’t look likely. The recent film, Jeepers Creepers: Reborn, was poorly received by both critics and audiences, and it didn’t earn much money in theaters. To make matters worse, the studio faced a lawsuit from Myriad Pictures, the company behind the second and third Jeepers Creepers films, even before Reborn was released, further damaging its reputation.
By 2025, the legal battle with Infinity Pictures faced another significant setback, adding to a series of delays that have kept the case unresolved. Despite these issues, Infinity Pictures has said they’re prepared to start making a fifth Jeepers Creepers movie as soon as the lawsuit is finished, if the outcome is favorable to them.
Jeepers Creepers: Reborn is available for streaming on Hulu until January 26.
