Following the somewhat controversial ending of Stranger Things, Eleven gets back together with Mike and a couple of her friends in a funny new video – a welcome surprise after a lot of speculation. Many fans initially believed Millie Bobby Brown’s character, Eleven, had died in the series finale, as she was last seen standing motionless while the Upside Down crumbled around her.
During the last game of the party, Mike shares his idea with Dustin, Lucas, and Max: that Eleven might have pretended to die with Kali’s assistance. We then see her seemingly finding a peaceful new home near three waterfalls. The ending of Stranger Things is open to interpretation, and fans have differing opinions about what it means. Now, a new hint about a potential reunion has emerged from a surprising source.
Three Characters Encounter Eleven With A Twist After Stranger Things‘ Finale
Because the show’s ending left El’s fate unclear, many fans believe the finale was a hoax and that a ninth episode is still coming. To playfully address these theories, Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike on Stranger Things, recently appeared on Saturday Night Live and performed a funny sketch with some of his co-stars.
Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo return as Lucas and Dustin, and we see Mike, Lucas, and Dustin reconnecting as adults. They eventually find Eleven in the same location where she was last seen, as Mike explains how she might still be alive in the final episode of Stranger Things.
Millie Bobby Brown doesn’t appear as Eleven in the sketch; instead, Kenan Thompson from SNL plays her in a wig. Before the characters meet again, a voiceover jokes, “Remember all those rumors about a hidden ninth episode? It wasn’t real… until now!” Ultimately, the sketch was a funny way to acknowledge the fan theories and give viewers more scenes with the cast together.
Will Netflix Ever Confirm Whether Eleven Died Or Survived?

The recent sketch was a playful way to deal with the rumors surrounding Stranger Things and the possibility of Eleven and her friends reuniting, but a reunion could still happen. Many TV shows have been revived with sequels lately, like Dexter: Resurrection, iCarly, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and others.
As a huge fan of Stranger Things, I’ve been hoping for a sequel set a few years or even a decade later, maybe showing Eleven coming back and reconnecting with Mike. But sadly, one of the show’s creators, Matt Duffer, has said he thinks that would just feel like they’re trying to make more money, and he doesn’t want that. So, while I’m still holding out hope, it seems like a continuation isn’t likely. Only time will tell if Stranger Things will ever return.
