Tom Hardy is well-known for his action movies, but after completing the Venom film series, he returned to television. His new crime show quickly became very popular.
Paramount+ quickly renewed the gangster series, produced by Guy Ritchie, for a second season and began filming in November 2025. Recently, Paramount+ announced that Season 2 of MobLand will be released in 2026.
Deadline recently shared the first trailer for The Gray House, a spy series executive produced by Kevin Costner. Meanwhile, Paramount+ released a new ad featuring Helen Mirren, who stars in the upcoming crime series from Hardy. The ad also revealed that Season 2 of MobLand will arrive in 2026, highlighting it as one of the platform’s returning shows.
A new advertisement appeared shortly after reports surfaced from several European news sources that filming for MobLand Season 2 is underway in Mallorca, Spain. Production will take place, in part, at Sa Fortalesa on the Formentor peninsula, and is expected to last four days, according to Euro Weekly News. The filming included Pierce Brosnan, known for his role as James Bond, who portrays Conrad Harrigan, the head of a prominent Irish crime family based in London.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Hardy hinted at the show continuing beyond Season 2. He said they’re aiming for more seasons, but are considering expanding the show’s scope to include international storylines.
He explained that the show hinted at international organized crime in its first season. He described how powerful families in each European country are competing for control over the illegal trade of goods, and how this impacts the global landscape and who enforces the rules.
You can currently watch Season 1 of MobLand on Paramount+. The second season is expected to arrive on the platform in 2026.
