Paul Rudd is a well-known comedian and the actor who plays Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, available on Disney+. While he’s famous for his funny roles, a recent interview went viral because his co-star jokingly mentioned something else memorable about him – his physique. Rudd’s reaction to the comment was, unsurprisingly, very funny.
Fans who followed the Marvel Cinematic Universe watched Paul Rudd transform his physique and become a popular heartthrob. During an episode of the podcast Take Your Shoes Off with Rick Glassman, the host (who also starred with Rudd in the 2018 film A Futile And Stupid Gesture) recalled a previous, memorable moment on the show. He referenced a bit where he jokingly pretended to have an accident, with both the simulated mess and his groin area being blurred when he removed his pants. He then playfully brought up this incident, saying:
I noticed a prominent physical feature and jokingly considered how its depiction might affect scoring – subtracting points for showing something unpleasant, but adding points for showing something else. I then playfully commented on someone’s head size.
Paul Rudd seemed surprised by the unexpected turn the conversation took, but he played along with it, jokingly covering himself and glancing at the camera. He knew the podcast would be humorous, but probably didn’t anticipate an entire segment dedicated to discussing his personal anatomy. And yet, here we are.
Glassman didn’t let the joke go and continued to push the topic. He directly asked Rudd, “Do you feel like people underestimate the size of your penis?”, to which the Clueless actor replied:
I mean I’ve never done — I’ve never been naked in a movie. I’m a fairly private person.
Some interesting points came up, but many fans probably wish Paul Rudd had done a nude scene in a movie. He then joked about this, saying:
I don’t wanna just be wagging my dick all over the place. I’m not Harvey Keitel in The Piano.
It’s a pretty specific reference! While many movies and shows (like HBO’s Euphoria, available on Max) feature nudity, Paul Rudd surprisingly mentioned The Piano during a rather adult conversation. Clearly, he’s a true film buff.
This conversation will likely become very popular online, and we hope people see it as the funny exchange it was meant to be. However, if you only read certain parts without the full context, it could easily be misinterpreted as something inappropriate.
Fans are excited to see Paul Rudd reprise his role as Ant-Man in future Marvel films, including Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for release on December 18th, 2026. It remains to be seen if any inappropriate comments will surface during the promotion of the movie, as happened previously.
