NBC’s Cancelled 2-Season Thriller Finds New Life On Netflix’s Streaming Chart

The TV show Found is gaining popularity again on streaming services. The NBC series, which originally aired from 2023 to 2025, centered on Gabi Mosely (played by Shanola Hampton), a crisis manager who specialized in finding missing people. She worked with an unlikely partner: her former kidnapper, Hugh Evans (played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar), whom she kept held captive in her basement. The show was cancelled in May 2025, shortly after its second season finale aired.

After being canceled seven and a half months ago, the series Found is now available on Netflix in the United States and is already gaining popularity. As of today, it’s the No. 7 show on Netflix’s daily Top 10 list, having been added to the platform just yesterday, January 2nd.

Many of the shows featured on the chart are Netflix’s biggest hits, like Stranger Things (ranked #1), which recently concluded with its final episode on December 31st, and Emily in Paris (ranked #5). You can find the complete chart below.

# Title
1 Stranger Things
2 Harlan Coben’s Run Away
3 Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable
4 Ricky Gervais: Mortality
5 Emily in Paris
6 Mark Rober’s CrunchLabs
7 Found
8 Land of Sin
9 The Beast in Me
10 Members Only: Palm Beach

Of the top 10 shows right now, “Found” is the only one that didn’t start on Netflix. This is encouraging news for the show, which was recently cancelled, because most of the other shows on the list are either brand new Netflix releases or popular, heavily promoted series.

As a big fan, I’m a little worried about whether Found will get a season 3. According to TVLine, the show’s been ‘shopped around’ and that process ended in July. But, if ratings stay strong, both here in the US and internationally, Netflix might still decide to pick it up and give us another season. Fingers crossed!

It’s happened before with other cancelled shows. For example, Lifetime’s You got four more seasons after becoming popular on Netflix. Similarly, Netflix revived NBC’s Manifest for a final season, and gave Fox’s Lucifer three additional seasons after its third season.

Given that Found was recently cancelled, renewing it could allow the show to return relatively quickly, as the break would be similar in length to typical breaks for TV series.
