In the upcoming issue of Conan: Scourge of the Serpent #4, from Heroic Signatures and Titan Comics, Conan faces a new and terrifying threat. While he’s battled dark magic and serpent creatures before, this time he’ll confront the immense and horrifying power of SET like never before.
The power of the serpent god stretches across the Hyborian Age and all eras connected to it. Three captivating tales of the supernatural will converge to reveal a terrifying truth about the past and present: What is Set’s ultimate goal for humankind, and now that his plan has started, is there any way to prevent it?
Conan the Barbarian, whose original name is Conan the Cimmerian, was created by Robert E. Howard and first appeared in a series of fantasy stories in 1932. These stories were first published in the magazine Weird Tales and became the basis for a hugely popular and enduring franchise in movies, comics, and more.
In 2022, a new direction for the Conan comic books was announced. Starting in 2023, Titan Comics and Heroic Signatures began publishing their own series, with the first issue, Conan #1, created by writer Jim Zub, artist Roberto De La Rotte, and colorist José Villarrubia. The publishers promised a fresh and exciting take on characters from the world of Conan and the broader stories of Robert E. Howard.
2025 was huge for Conan comics from Titan and Heroic Signatures! There were a bunch of awesome releases, and I was really excited about Conan: Scourge of the Serpent. In October, they dropped this oversized one-shot that was packed with exactly the kind of sword-and-sorcery action we Conan fans crave.
The original Conan character reappeared later that month in the first issue of The Savage Sword of Conan: Reforged. This new series brought classic Conan stories, originally published in black and white, back to life with full-color restorations. This allowed readers to enjoy the work of iconic artists like Barry Windsor-Smith with a fresh perspective.
Conan: Scourge of the Serpent #4 goes on sale January 7 from Heroic Signatures and Titan Comics.
