A new trailer for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, featuring the X-Men, is now showing in cinemas. Fans of Cyclops are particularly excited. The film, which is expected to be released later this year, will pit the X-Men against Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., and he’ll also be a major threat to other heroes like the Fantastic Four and the New Avengers.

Cyclops fans rejoice with Avengers: Doomsday’s third teaser

A new teaser for the upcoming Avengers movie is now showing in cinemas, and it features some familiar faces from the X-Men: Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Ian McKellen), and Cyclops (James Marsden). The teaser shows glimpses of the X-Mansion, a heartwarming scene of Magneto and Professor X playing chess and holding hands, and a powerful shot of Cyclops unleashing his optic blast with a Sentinel looming in the background.

The trailer shows Scott Summers sporting his iconic costume: blue tights, a yellow utility belt, a chest strap with the X-Men logo, yellow underwear, a yellow visor, and yellow boots. This is the same suit fans will recognize from both the original X-Men: The Animated Series and its recent continuation, X-Men ’97.

Since the footage was released, fans have been sharing their reactions online. Many are thrilled to see Cyclops back in a movie and believe Marvel is finally portraying him well.

Since the trailers for Captain America and Thor became available online shortly after playing in theaters, people can likely expect to see the X-Men trailer online by next week.

The upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film will feature seven X-Men characters, including Magneto, Cyclops, and Professor X. The team will also include Beast (played by Kelsey Grammer), Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming), Mystique (Rebecca Romijn), and Gambit (Channing Tatum).

Avengers: Doomsday will hit theaters on December 18, 2026. The film was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who worked from a script written by Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron. The Russo brothers also produced the movie alongside Marvel Studios through their company, AGBO.
