Starting in 2026, HBO Max will continue to be the main streaming home for DC content, adding both new and classic titles to its already extensive collection. As the streaming service for Warner Bros., HBO Max will receive all new DC releases – like the upcoming Clayface and Supergirl projects – after they’ve been shown in theaters, similar to how Superman became available. Beyond new films, fans can also enjoy a wide range of older DC favorites, including movies like The Dark Knight and various animated features.
HBO Max plans to continue adding older DC movies and series to its streaming service, and that will still be the case in 2026. Starting in January, subscribers can look forward to five new titles, including a Teen Titans show and several Green Lantern programs, alongside everything already available.
HBO Max added a new show called Bat-Wheels in December. At the same time, they removed Beware the Batman and Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic to make space for a new batch of content arriving on January 1, 2026.

Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans

In 2019, a funny crossover movie called Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans brought together the characters from the original Teen Titans series and the newer Teen Titans Go! show. It first shown at San Diego Comic-Con and later aired on Cartoon Network in 2020.
As a big animation fan, I was really intrigued by this movie! It’s built around the idea of the Multiverse, and it starts with a cool conflict: the classic Teen Titans versus their newer counterparts. But it doesn’t stay a rivalry for long – they quickly realize they’re on the same side and team up to fight a bigger threat. It’s a fun concept and a great way to bring different generations of the Titans together.
Catwoman (2004)

The 2004 movie Catwoman, starring Halle Berry, tells the story of Patience Phillips, an artist who works for a beauty company. When Patience is murdered by the company, she’s brought back to life in a strange way by her cat, Midnight. This revival gives her incredible powers and transforms her into Catwoman.
Although the movie was poorly reviewed by critics and most fans, it’s gained a dedicated following within a segment of the DC universe fanbase. It will be available to stream on HBO Max starting January 1st.
Green Lantern: Beware My Power

Released in 2022, Green Lantern: Beware My Power is an animated movie featuring John Stewart as the Green Lantern. The character is voiced by Aldis Hodge, who also played Hawkman in the 2022 film Black Adam.
The movie centers on John Stewart becoming the new Green Lantern after Hal Jordan is presumed dead. It also includes appearances by other well-known DC heroes, such as Green Arrow.
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

Unlike the more recent Beware My Power, Green Lantern: Emerald Knights is an older film, released in 2011. It’s structured as an anthology, meaning it tells multiple stories about different characters, rather than following a single, continuous plot.
The show included characters like Kilowog, Abin Sur, Mogo, and Laira. Notably, Nathan Fillion played Hal Jordan (Green Lantern), and it’s interesting to note he now portrays Guy Gardner, another Lantern, in the DCU. Although it won’t be available in January, Fillion will appear in a new HBO Max series called Lanterns in 2026.
Green Lantern: First Flight

Starting January 1, 2026, you’ll be able to stream the 2009 animated movie Green Lantern: First Flight on HBO Max. The film features Christopher Meloni, known from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, as Hal Jordan and tells the story of his initial adventure as a Green Lantern.
First Flight was an early installment in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series, and it prominently featured Sinestro – a character potentially appearing in the upcoming Lanterns – as the villain.
BONUS: Batkid Begins: The Wish Heard Around the World

The documentary Batkid Begins tells the story of Miles Scott, a young boy who battled lymphoblastic leukemia from a very young age. After years of treatment, the Make-A-Wish foundation granted his wish: to become Batkid, Batman’s partner in fighting crime.
When a young boy named Batkid wished to be a superhero, the city of San Francisco and countless volunteers transformed it into Gotham City for a day. The documentary Batkid Begins: The Wish Heard Around the World tells the incredible story of how this all happened.
I have to say, before I even get into the performance, it’s incredibly inspiring to know Mils Scott is a cancer survivor. He finished his treatment back in June 2013 and, thankfully, has stayed healthy ever since. It really adds another layer to appreciating his work.
