90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Had Me Shaking My Head After Forrest’s Mom Asked Him And Sheena About Their Sex Lives

The season finale of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days delivered, especially with Forrest and Sheena finally meeting after all the drama surrounding the stolen money. I wasn’t expecting another awkward sex scene – and it was definitely more uncomfortable than usual, despite the fact that nothing actually happened! I also can’t be the only one who thinks Forrest’s mom, Molly, is a little too interested in his personal life.

Forrest’s Mom Is Too Invested In His Sex Life With Sheena

Seeing Forrest and Sheena share a hotel room with his mother and stepfather made me sigh. The show, 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, had already told us both were virgins and were hoping to change that during Forrest’s trip to the Philippines.

The couple chose to wait before being intimate, and Molly was the only one who seemed bothered by that decision. Forrest’s mother strongly encouraged them to explore other physical intimacy and started suggesting options until Forrest had to ask her to stop. Sheena felt uncomfortable, but what was really surprising was how upset Forrest’s mother became when he told her to stop.

It seems pretty clear to me that Molly intentionally brought up the money issues with Sheena, pushing her until she started crying, shortly after their conversation about sex in the car. At least, that’s how I interpreted it while watching the 90 Day Fiancé episode, though the show didn’t explicitly say that was the reason.

I Feel This Is Less About Forrest’s Safety And More About Control

Molly mentioned she and Forrest used to visit sex shops together, but now that Sheena is around, Forrest seems uncomfortable with that. I understand Forrest’s perspective, though, because he’s protecting Sheena, which is important when someone feels pressured in a sexual discussion. I can relate to Sheena’s discomfort – I wouldn’t want to talk about sex with my parents or my partner’s parents either.

Molly’s been worried that Sheena is controlling Forrest, and that’s why she came on this trip with him. But it’s becoming clear that her real concern isn’t about Sheena’s influence, but about losing her close relationship with her son, who has always been very obedient to her.

Molly has twice confronted Sheena when Sheena was pushing boundaries, and Forrest had to intervene. While it was reasonable for Molly to ask why Sheena hadn’t mentioned giving her parents the money she’d saved with Forrest, she went too far by repeatedly demanding to know why Sheena hadn’t told Forrest about it right away. Dwelling on the past and speculating about ‘what ifs’ wasn’t helpful in that situation.

I really hope Molly eventually accepts Sheena and stops trying to shield Forrest from her, as it could damage their relationship. While there’s a risk Forrest could get hurt, Molly needs to trust him and let him make his own decisions, even if things don’t go as planned.

I doubt Sheena would intentionally take advantage of Forrest, but consistently giving her parents money could create problems in their relationship. For now, it might also help if they set clearer boundaries with Molly and let her know they’re not comfortable discussing sexual topics.
