A recent Deadline report reveals that the celebrity-filled cast of the forthcoming comedy film about an alien invasion, titled Alpha Gang, is getting bigger still, with new high-profile actors joining the production.
Who else has joined the Alpha Gang cast?
As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that Chris Pine (Star Trek), Lily-Rose Depp (Nosferatu), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Mufasa: The Lion King), and Doona Bae (Rebel Moon) have officially joined the cast of an upcoming movie. However, the specifics about their roles are still tightly guarded secrets for now, as most details about the film are being kept under lock and key. Stay tuned for more updates!
In addition to the freshly unveiled cast members, Alpha Gang will include Cate Blanchett, Léa Seydoux, Dave Bautista, and Riley Keough. This movie was initially announced last year and originally included Channing Tatum and Steven Yeun. However, according to Deadline, these three actors are no longer part of the film due to scheduling conflicts or other undisclosed reasons.
The movie, helmed by the Zellner brothers, narrates a tale about extraterrestrial conquerors who disguise themselves as a 1950s motorcycle gang in leather outfits. They are relentless in their mission to take over Earth… until they become susceptible to the deadliest and most infectious human trait: emotions, as suggested by the film’s plot summary.
Nathan and David Zellner are primarily recognized for creating movies such as Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter, Damsel, and the upcoming film titled Sasquatch Sunset (scheduled for release in 2024).
