Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have given Marvel fans a special treat: a high-definition version of the first movie trailer, officially confirming Chris Evans will reprise his role as Steve Rogers.
The Russo brothers shared the full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday on Instagram, hinting at a return to a pivotal story and character that brought fans together. The trailer debuted in theaters almost a week prior, before showings of Avatar: Fire and Ash.
A new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, focusing on Steve Rogers (Captain America), has been released. Marvel Studios plans to release four trailers total, each highlighting a different part of the movie and offering fans early clues about the story, almost a year before it hits theaters. Many were surprised to see Captain America returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the trailer intentionally leaves a lot open to interpretation. Along with the trailer, Marvel also revealed the first official movie poster for Avengers: Doomsday.
Marvel Studios released its first poster for a new project with a stark message: “Doomsday is coming. December 18, 2026. #AvengersDoomsday.” This direct approach is notable, especially considering the studio recently used a more complex marketing strategy, beginning with a lengthy reveal of the cast on social media.
