Disney+ is starting the year strong with a mix of new and classic content. Although Hulu and Disney+ will eventually combine in 2026, both platforms are currently offering a variety of shows and movies. Disney+ is adding several highly anticipated titles, including a beloved film series, a witty and unconventional superhero story, and a brand new Marvel series, making for a great start to the year.

Check out these exciting new movies and shows coming to Disney+ in January 2026! Below is a full schedule of everything being added to the streaming service that month, including release dates.

‘Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark’ (1981)

Available to Stream January 1st

Most people today know Indiana Jones. The original film launched this adventurous and funny hero, quickly making him a cinematic icon. When thinking about Harrison Ford’s career, it’s hard to picture him as anyone but Indiana Jones or Han Solo – both characters have become hugely popular and lasting parts of our culture.

After Disney bought LucasArts in 2012, the classic film Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark is finally available on Disney+! Now, fans can enjoy the incredible music, amazing scenes, memorable characters, and Steven Spielberg’s brilliant directing, all in one place on the streaming service.

As a huge Indiana Jones fan, I’m thrilled to share some amazing news! Not only is Raiders of the Lost Ark coming to Disney+ on January 1, 2026, but Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, and even Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be available to stream on the same day! It’s a complete Indiana Jones marathon coming right to our homes, and I couldn’t be more excited!

‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ (2021)

Available to Stream January 22nd

The Venom movies haven’t been critically acclaimed, but they’ve proven popular with audiences, performing well in theaters even with mixed reviews and during the challenging box office conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The second film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, continues the story of Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) as he navigates life with Venom while facing a new enemy.

The connection between Eddie and Venom continues to be a major draw for audiences. Despite some finding Let There Be Carnage a little mild, people still loved the duo and supported the film. Woody Harrelson shines as the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage, adding a fun, over-the-top element to the Spider-Verse. The movie successfully blends action and comedy, just like the first Venom film. Both films are now available to watch together, with the original Venom (2018) already streaming. Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be available to stream on Disney+ starting January 22, 2026.

‘Wonder Man’ (Miniseries)

Disney+’s Marvel shows have been a mixed bag, but fans are particularly excited about “Wonder Man,” which is part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and falls under the “Marvel Spotlight” label. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, an actor struggling to find success. However, the show isn’t a typical superhero origin story. Instead, it takes a unique, behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood, as Williams ironically gets cast to play the Wonder Man character in a movie, despite his personal struggles.

The new series has been getting fantastic reviews, praised for its smart and humorous approach to superheroes and its playful critique of the movie industry. Many viewers are excited to see Ben Kingsley reprise his role as Trevor Slattery, adding depth to the character and connecting the show to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. Plus, all eight episodes will be available at once, making it perfect for a weekend binge! Marvel fans can start watching Wonder Man on Disney+ on January 27, 2026.
