Island of Blood begins with a film crew—including Donna, Jim, and Franklin—traveling to a remote island to make a movie on a tight budget. Unbeknownst to them, a dangerous serial killer is already there, and they become the next targets.

At first, the team is confused and thinks the attacks are random. But as more members are targeted, they realize they’re facing a deliberate threat and start making plans to escape before it’s too late.

Despite being in a secluded spot, the location feels surprisingly lively, with large buildings that appear well-maintained and frequently used. However, the story itself isn’t very suspenseful – it relies on familiar, even predictable, horror tropes and lacks the tension found in later slasher films.
