An old coin had a magical effect: whoever threw it into a fountain could have any wish granted. The fountain would then continue to grant wishes, but with a catch – every wish would eventually backfire. After inheriting a property, the son didn’t recognize the significance of the objects it contained and simply sold them. Now, Sam and Dean are racing against time to find several cursed items before they harm the people who recently bought them. They arrived too late to help one woman, who was killed by a cursed teakettle that forced her to pour boiling water on herself. To cover more ground, the brothers decided to split up after dealing with the kettle.

Okay, so this episode was intense! Sam showed up just in the nick of time to save this kid’s mom – apparently, he was under some kind of hypnotic spell from an old gramophone and was about to hurt her. Dean had a weird case of his own, thankfully stopping a guy from meeting a really bad end because of a vintage magazine he bought. The first part of the episode was all these crazy standalone cases, but then things shifted and the rest of it really dove into the bigger story about those Leviathans – it’s definitely building up to something huge!

Warehouse 13 Agents Track Down Dangerous Artifacts Imbued with Supernatural Powers

The series centers on Secret Service agents Myka Bering and Pete Lattimer, who are unexpectedly transferred to a highly classified government warehouse. At first, they’re skeptical of the strange and powerful artifacts stored inside. However, as they begin to investigate unusual incidents linked to these relics, they’re dispatched on missions around the globe to retrieve them and keep them secure.

Pete and Myka were initially hesitant about their new job, but they soon realized how crucial it was. The first episode introduces a number of artifacts, each with its own set of potentially serious repercussions, and using any of them always comes at a cost.

Some artifacts are mostly harmless – like Howard Carter’s coffee pot, which supposedly grants wishes, but turns into a ferret if the wish can’t come true. Other artifacts are more dangerous. For example, when Myka was exploring the warehouse, she unknowingly took Harry Houdini’s wallet, which caused the ghost of her former partner, Sam Martino, to appear.

The first episode of Warehouse 13 featured a dangerous comb with the power to control people, but only if used by someone who met very specific criteria. This woman used the comb to manipulate a professor assisting Pete and Myka, causing him to set himself on fire. She also hypnotized someone into attempting to harm his girlfriend, though Pete and Myka managed to contain the comb in their special bags before the attack could succeed.

Pete was a naturally gifted warehouse agent, relying heavily on his gut feelings – what he called ‘vibes.’ He could instinctively sense danger or trustworthiness in others. Though he sometimes questioned this ability, Pete learned early on how important it was to trust his instincts. As a child, he’d ignored a warning feeling, and his father tragically died as a result.

Pete was always attentive and relied on his instincts. Myka’s sharp eye for detail, combined with her broad knowledge, made her an ideal fit for investigating the warehouse.

Let me tell you about some of the other great characters! There was Artie Nielsen, the head of Warehouse 13. He used to be an NSA agent, but Mrs. Frederic, this really mysterious woman who looked after the warehouse, recruited him. And then there was , who basically made sure we agents were all taken care of – a real lifesaver!

She assisted with organizing and storing the historical objects. During one of Artie’s earlier cases, while he was working in the field, he encountered Rheticus’s Compass – a dangerous device that could trap someone in a strange realm outside of normal space and time if misused. A young man named Joshua disappeared and was thought to be dead, but his sister, Claudia, found Artie and his warehouse, determined to have him rescue her brother.

Claudia is a brilliant and naturally gifted expert when it comes to artifacts, making her a fantastic asset to the warehouse team. Her cheerful personality and way with words were a funny contrast to Artie’s grumpy and antisocial nature – he was a lot like Bobby Singer from Supernatural. During the third season of the show, the cast expanded. Jinx, similar to Pete, possessed a special ability: he could always detect when someone was being dishonest, leading to a very amusing introduction to his character.

Warehouse 13 Is a Must-Watch for Supernatural Fans

Like Supernatural, Warehouse 13 features characters traveling the country and helping people with strange occurrences. Both shows also emphasize the importance of chosen family. While Sam and Dean Winchester were brothers, the connections they made with others – like Bobby Singer and Castiel – were just as vital. These characters often felt like outsiders, but they created a sense of belonging with each other.

Like the agents on Warehouse 13, Myka and Pete eventually found a sense of belonging within their team. They didn’t initially work well together, often appearing bossy or unwilling to cooperate, but when they were compelled to collaborate, they helped each other excel.

While Claudia and Artie worked together to fix up the warehouse, she grew close to him, becoming like a daughter. They formed a real family, and the warehouse felt like home to both of them.

Warehouse 13 combined self-contained episodes with an overarching, season-long storyline. Similar to other shows, each episode often focused on a different artifact, but these stories also built towards a larger, more complex mystery revealed in the finale. Over time, the series became increasingly dramatic and focused on a continuous narrative.

Season four of Warehouse 13 is notably darker and more focused on a continuous storyline than previous seasons, including a significant character death and a complex plot to end the world. However, even with these heavier elements, Warehouse 13 generally remains more lighthearted than Supernatural, which often deals with death, sacrifice, and loss – it’s more akin to the earlier, less intense seasons of Supernatural.

Fans of the show Supernatural will be pleased to know that Sheppard, who famously played the king of hell for eight years on Supernatural, also had a significant role on Warehouse 13. On that show, he played Valda, a member of a powerful international group that oversaw the warehouse’s operations.
