Okay, so I was really excited about the possibility of Brad Pitt joining the cast of The Batman 2, but it sounds like that might not happen now. Apparently, we’re hearing more details about what role they were thinking of for him, and honestly, it’s a bit of a letdown. It seems like the idea didn’t quite pan out the way everyone hoped.

What do we know about Brad Pitt’s potential involvement in The Batman 2?

A recent report from The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision says Brad Pitt won’t be appearing in the upcoming Batman sequel, despite earlier speculation. As filming for The Batman: Part II gets closer, sources confirm Pitt is not involved in the project.

Jeff Sneider of The InSneider reported that Brad Pitt was considered for a role in the new Batman movie. Director Matt Reeves wanted Pitt to play Christopher Dent, the father of Harvey Dent. The film will introduce three new characters: Christopher Dent, Harvey Dent, and Harvey’s mother.

Brad Pitt isn’t able to join the movie due to a scheduling conflict. He’s already committed to filming another project, ‘The Riders,’ during the same time ‘The Batman: Part II’ is scheduled to film, making it impossible to do both. It’s currently unknown who director Matt Reeves will cast as Christopher Dent.

The sequel to The Batman, written by Matt Reeves and Mattson Tomlin, will bring back Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin. However, Zoe Kravitz is not currently slated to return as Catwoman/Selina Kyle. Filming is scheduled to begin next spring.

The Batman 2 will be released in U.S. theaters on October 1, 2027.
