New JJK Modulo Chapter Finally Reveals Another Character Who Can Defeat Mahoraga

As 2025 nears its end, a particular sequel is still captivating shonen manga readers globally. Gege Akutami’s new series, following up on Jujutsu Kaisen, has been a standout success this year, and the latest chapters suggest the story of Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu will continue to be popular for a long time.

Chapter 15 of JJK Modulo, called “The Forbidden Technique Unleashed,” really kicks off the fight between Yuka and Dabura, and it’s already an incredible showcase of magical abilities. Seeing Mahoraga’s Modulo in action for the first time, combined with the terrifying Cursed Technique Dabura reveals, makes this first chapter of the battle a huge win for Jujutsu Kaisen fans – though things aren’t looking so good for anyone living on Earth!

Dabura Makes Easy Work of Mahoraga in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 15

For the first 14 chapters, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo didn’t have many exciting fight scenes. But the latest release completely changed that! The battle between Yuka and Dabura was a welcome addition to the Modulo story and was just as thrilling as anything from the original Jujutsu Kaisen, largely thanks to its…

The conflict between Simurians and humans is captivating, but seeing Dabura standing over Mahoraga’s destroyed form feels strange considering everything Mahoraga accomplishes in Jujutsu Kaisen. Both Ryomen Sukuna and Satoru Gojo struggled to defeat this powerful creature, and while Dabura hasn’t fully beaten Mahoraga, he disabled it remarkably quickly, before it could even react to his attacks.

Chapter 15 of JJK Modulo further highlights the significant differences between Simurian jujutsu and the way Earth’s sorcerers use Cursed Energy. Maru’s unique Cursed Technique, which can change substances, is already incredibly flexible – more so than any technique we’ve seen so far. And, judging by this chapter, Dabura’s technique appears to be equally adaptable and unconventional.

Dabura has two powerful abilities: one called ‘Light,’ and another that essentially turns killing intent into a physical force. We haven’t seen the second ability used yet, but considering how easily he almost defeated Mahoraga with just ‘Light,’ he might not even need it to beat the Divine General.

If Mahoraga manages to overcome this new, alien Cursed Technique, Dabura will likely face a real challenge later on. However, Dabura’s incredibly powerful Cursed Technique suggests Mahoraga won’t win on its own, leaving us to wonder what will happen to Yuka Okkotsu.

Yuka Okkotsu Has Been Modulo’s Biggest Surprise

The fight between Dabura and Mahoraga is the most exciting part of JJK Modulo Chapter 15, but it’s made powerful by the story of Yuka Okkotsu’s illness. Gege Akutami has done an amazing job developing Yuka, and this chapter brings her struggles to a critical point, beginning with a touching introduction.

Though brief, Yuka’s thoughts on her relationship with Tsurugi at the beginning of Modulo Chapter 15 are very effective. The scene quickly establishes both the emotional weight of her fight with Dabura and her motivations. At the same time, it sadly highlights the futility of Tsurugi’s efforts to protect her, as Yuka is likely to succumb to her illness, Mahoraga, or Dabura regardless.

Honestly, as a huge fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, one thing’s become clear: a sorcerer who’s already pushed to their limits is the most terrifying thing out there! If Yuka ends up having to fight, I’m betting she’ll have some kind of pact boosting her power – maybe to hold things down until others like Tsurugi or Yuji can get there and help. With them, and even Mahoraga in the mix, Dabura’s definitely not going to have an easy time winning this fight.

Honestly, Yuka’s got a lot on her plate – not just surviving this fight, but dealing with that brain tumor too. But it doesn’t feel like Modulo is just throwing her to Dabura as a sacrifice, especially with Mahito still out there causing trouble. It’s like there’s more going on, and Modulo might actually be protecting her, at least for now.

Although Yuka seems to have lost all hope (her expression before summoning Mahoraga strongly suggests this), the story in JJK Modulo isn’t quite ready to let her go.

JJK Modulo’s Second Half Is Gege Akutami’s Best Work Yet

Overall, Chapter 15 of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is arguably Gege Akutami’s strongest chapter yet in the JJK sequel, and that’s high praise. Considering the series has already been surprisingly good, the fact that it continues to improve is fantastic news for Jujutsu Kaisen fans.

Gege Akutami’s portrayal of Yuka’s sacrifice in Modulo is arguably his most powerful work yet. Seeing Yuka’s mental state unravel from her perspective is deeply moving, and Yuji Iwasaki’s stunning artwork amplifies the emotional impact. The story is further enriched by touching flashbacks to Yuka’s happier times with Tsurugi.

The inclusion of UI Ui, a playful reference to Jujutsu Kaisen, enhances Yuka’s story by creating a suitably unsettling atmosphere and hinting at the upcoming conflict. Akutami has skillfully used these callbacks to Modulo, drawing on familiar elements and characters just enough to connect with readers without overwhelming the story with characters from the original JJK series.

Chapter 15 of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is a big win for the JJK series in terms of pure entertainment. The first fourteen chapters were missing impressive displays of jujutsu magic, but that’s changed now that Mahoraga and Dabura have started fighting.

I’ve been following the story, and Dabura seems like a truly powerful enemy – potentially a Special Grade threat on par with characters like Sukuna or Gojo, especially if he manages to beat Mahoraga later on. Even now, the author is clearly drawing parallels between Dabura and Sukuna with details like his tattoos and the mystery around his Cursed Technique, which is really building up the anticipation.

Even with everything that’s happened, Jujutsu Kaisen still has a lot of potential for exciting twists. Since Mahito and Yuji Itadori are both missing, the future of the story is wide open. But for now, Gege Akutami’s manga remains one of the best series of the year.
