Maggie Simpson, the youngest member of the Simpson family, is getting a new voice actor in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. She’s been voiced by famous stars before, including Elizabeth Taylor, and this time will be played by the star of Freaky Friday.
This week’s episode features a scene the actress called a “dream come true,” which she initially shared with her Instagram followers. She posted a preview clip, but it was later changed to just a still image from the episode. The original clip showed a glimpse of the family in the future, where Maggie pleads with Homer and Marge, begging them not to let teenage Bart drive. She says, “Please! Don’t let Bart drive! It’s too scary! He drives so wiggly, and everybody honks at us and yells bad words and shows us fingers!”
Lindsay Lohan is the newest celebrity to appear on The Simpsons, which is currently airing its 37th season. Interestingly, despite rarely making sounds, the character of Maggie has been voiced by several different actors over the years. Nancy Cartwright spoke one word as Maggie in the episode “Lisa’s First Word,” and Carol Kane briefly voiced the character earlier in the show’s run. James Earl Jones and Harry Shearer, a veteran voice actor on The Simpsons, also playfully voiced Maggie in special Halloween episodes.
The latest episode, called “Parahormonal Activity,” is set a few years in the future. It features Maggie now being able to speak, and Marge dealing with the challenges of her teenage kids, Bart and Lisa. Meanwhile, Homer unexpectedly seems to be the most level-headed member of the family – but is that really the case?
‘The Simpsons’ Is Continuing With More Seasons and a New Movie on the Way

Fox
The Simpsons is already a record-breaking show, and it’s continuing on strong, recently celebrating its 35th anniversary. Not only has it been renewed for seasons 38 and 39, but a sequel to The Simpsons Movie is officially in the works and scheduled for release in theaters in July 2027.
Twenty years after The Simpsons Movie became a blockbuster, earning $537 million and receiving mostly good reviews, a new film is in the works. While the story is still a secret, it’s likely to feature a large cast of famous guest stars and the wild, unpredictable plots that have kept the show popular. The original voice actors – Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, and Harry Shearer – are all expected to return and play their iconic characters.
