This weekend, Zootopia 2 is predicted to earn more at the box office than Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. The Disney animated movie had a strong opening over Thanksgiving, earning $100.3 million in just three days. This was the second-highest Thanksgiving debut ever, following only Moana 2 in 2024.
While Zootopia 2 was predicted to remain the most popular movie domestically for a second weekend, the new horror film Five Nights at Freddy’s unexpectedly took the top spot. It opened with $64 million, easily surpassing Zootopia 2‘s $43.4 million earnings during its second weekend.
According to Deadline, Zootopia 2 is now expected to earn $26 million this weekend, putting it back at the top of the box office. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is predicted to fall to second place, earning around $20 million – a significant drop of 69% from its opening weekend.
