Verdict on House
Recap
The film centers around a writer struggling with personal issues who inherits his family’s house. Hoping to find peace and concentrate on his new book, he moves in, only to discover the house holds hidden secrets. He’s forced to confront his past and figure out what’s truly haunting him.
Best Parts
The unsettling events within the house effectively show the emotional pain Roger is experiencing. The acting is strong, and the visual effects perfectly capture the feel of 1980s movies. It’s an enjoyable film in the style of the 80s, though it’s not particularly frightening.
Worst Parts
This movie feels outdated and won’t appeal to all viewers. It doesn’t deliver enough scares to be truly impactful, and it relies too heavily on the theme of war trauma.
Final Thoughts – House is creepy and solid effects.
