A popular actor from a well-known Netflix science fiction show is reportedly being considered to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to a new report, Marvel Studios wants the actor to play a leading role in their upcoming reboot of the X-Men, which promises a new version of the superhero team.
Millie Bobby Brown rumored for Marvel’s X-Men reboot
According to entertainment insider MyTimeToShineHello, Marvel Studios is thinking about Millie Bobby Brown for a part in the new X-Men movie. They shared on X (formerly Twitter) that Marvel is considering her for a role, but haven’t said which X-Men character she might play.
Now that Marvel Studios has the rights back from 20th Century Fox, they’re planning a complete overhaul of the X-Men for the big screen. This reboot will star a brand new cast and be directed by Jake Schreier, who recently worked on Thunderbolts. While Marvel hasn’t announced when filming will begin or when audiences can expect to see the new X-Men, they are moving forward with a fresh start.
Most predictions now indicate the movie won’t be released until after Avengers: Secret Wars, which Marvel Studios is currently planning for a December 17, 2027, release following the end of their Multiverse Saga.
Millie Bobby Brown, 21, is known for her role as Eleven in the Netflix series Stranger Things, but hasn’t been in a Marvel movie or show yet. Fans online have been discussing which Marvel character she could play, with popular suggestions including Jean Grey, Rogue, Kitty Pryde, and Mystique. This is largely because she’s played a character with telepathic abilities, and Marvel seems to be planning a younger version of the X-Men team.
Sadie Sink, known for her role in Stranger Things alongside Millie Bobby Brown, is now being linked to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Recent reports indicate she may appear in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and there’s speculation she could play Jean Grey in the planned X-Men reboot. However, Marvel Studios hasn’t officially announced any casting choices yet.
