A year after narrowly surviving his night shift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) finds his younger sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), determined to learn what happened to the animatronics she considered her friends.

When Abby secretly meets up with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, she unknowingly starts a chain of frightening events that uncovers the hidden and disturbing history of Freddy’s.

Vanessa is troubled by recurring nightmares about her father, William Afton, who was a child murderer.

The sequel will also feature Skeet Ulrich (known from Scream), Mckenna Grace (Young Sheldon), Teo Briones (Chucky), Theodus Crane (Sinners), and Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park). At New York Comic Con 2025, it was announced that Megan Fox, who starred in Transformers, will voice Toy Chica. Popular YouTuber and FNAF fan Matthew “MatPat” Patrick will play Toy Bonnie, and Kellen Goff (My Hero Academia) will be the voice of Toy Freddy.

‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’ Will Be Released in Movie Theaters First

The first Five Nights at Freddy’s movie was released in theaters and on streaming at the same time. However, the new sequel will only be available in movie theaters when it opens on Friday, December 5th. Jason Blum, speaking earlier this year, explained that movie theater owners weren’t happy about the first film being available on Peacock at the same time, so the second movie will have an exclusive theatrical release, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Moviegoers can find showtimes at their local theaters like AMC, Regal, and Cinemark, or buy tickets on Fandango. While it’s unknown if the movie will be available in 3D or IMAX, most theaters will likely show it in standard format, along with options like MPX and DFX, depending on location.
