Seeing depictions of my father, who can’t speak for himself, and portrayals of my family that are negative and untrue adds to the pain we’re already feeling as we grieve. We’re supporting each other through this difficult time.

Redford notes the lack of a public memorial service and emphasizes the family’s ongoing grief. She then poses a poignant question, drawing on her own experience to highlight a troubling aspect of artificial intelligence.
