It’s hard to believe it’s been six years since the end of Jumanji: The Next Level! Now, fans have something to look forward to: Jumanji 4 is currently being filmed and is expected to be released in 2026. Filming recently started in Los Angeles, and the cast and crew are already busy. It’s great to see Kevin Hart showing appreciation for his stunt doubles during production.
This weekend, Kevin Hart posted a photo on Instagram showing him dressed up again as his character, Franklin “Mouse” Finbar. The picture also features his stunt doubles from the movie!

In this photo, LeRoyal Tutt is on the left and Samuel J. Paul is on the right. Tutt has frequently doubled for Kevin Hart in films like True Story, Me Time, Die Hart, and Lift. Paul has worked as Hart’s stuntman for nearly ten years, appearing in movies such as Ride Along 2, Central Intelligence, the Jumanji films, and Borderlands, among others.
In a recent social media post, Kevin Hart praised the stunt performers who work on his films, calling them his “brothers” and saying they make his movies so much better. He noted their experience but also expressed excitement for what they’ll accomplish in the future. It’s great to see Hart recognizing the hard work of stunt actors – something many other stars don’t do – and showing that his action scenes in the latest Jumanji wouldn’t be possible without their skills.
Dwayne Johnson recently revealed that a new Jumanji movie is being made, posting pictures from the first cast read-through. He also surprised everyone by saying this will be the last movie in the Jumanji series. Now, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan are back in costume and filming in Los Angeles, at the Universal Pictures Studios. Here’s a look at the cast together!

Dwayne Johnson revealed he’ll honor Robin Williams, who was in the original Jumanji movie, by wearing a necklace with the prop dice from the first film. This has fans wondering if the new movie will include other nods to the 1990s version. Based on photos from the set, it seems the characters from the video game have now entered the real world.
The most recent Jumanji film, The Next Level, came out in December 2019 and earned $801 million around the world on a budget of $125 million. Before that, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) nearly reached $1 billion, bringing in $962 million globally with a reported budget of $90 million.
Details are still scarce about the next Jumanji movie, and we don’t even have an official title yet. However, it’s great to hear it’s being made, and it’s awesome to see Kevin Hart recognizing the hard work of his stunt team. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on December 11, 2026, just before Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three both come out.
