Universal Orlando is continuing its benefits for Annual Passholders at the new Epic Universe park through the end of 2026, as recently announced by Universal and reported in the news.
I was really pleased to hear that our perks are being extended for another year! They were originally set to end in 2025, but it looks like we’ll be able to enjoy them a little longer. However, I’m a bit disappointed to learn that this might mean Epic fans won’t be getting an Annual Pass to the new Universal park next year.
Parking Benefits
One of the best benefits of renewing your pass is continued parking access. Premier Passholders can still park for free using either valet or Prime self-parking, when available. Preferred Passholders continue to receive free standard self-parking, and can enjoy lower prices on Prime and valet parking. Power Passholders still get half off regular daytime self-parking, and can use that discount to upgrade to Prime parking for a reduced price.

These parking benefits are for the main parking garages at Universal Orlando, including the new Epic Universe, but aren’t available for parking at Universal hotels.
Dining Discounts
Dining discounts remain mostly the same. To get discounts at Universal restaurants and outdoor food spots (excluding alcohol), Annual Passholders need to show their valid pass and a photo ID. Premier Passholders get 15% off, and Preferred Passholders receive a 10% discount.

Epic Universe will feature a variety of restaurants, including Toadstool Café, Mead Hall, Bar Zenith, and Meteor Astropub. Because Universal operates these venues directly, guests can use extended discount programs at these locations.
Retail Offers
As a passholder, I’m excited to know we still get discounts on merchandise at Epic Universe! If you’re a Premier passholder like me, you get 15% off most items. Preferred passholders get 10% off. It’s great because the discount applies to shops all over the park – like the Nintendo Super Star Store, The Guild of Mystics, and even Toothless’ Treasures in the themed areas.

Just like with meals, passholders need to show valid ID when they buy things to get their discounts and perks.
Experience-Based Perks
Through 2026, you can still enjoy special benefits related to experiences. You’ll get 10% off the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, but you need to book it directly at the park or through Guest Services to get the discount. Bookings made online or over the phone won’t receive the reduced price.

Universal Orlando passholders still get a 10% discount on VIP guided tours at all participating parks, including the new Epic Universe. You’ll need a separate theme park ticket to book a tour, and you can only use the discount for one tour per pass each day. The same rules apply to private VIP tours, although the number of people allowed in each group may vary.
Passholders still get discounts on Coca-Cola Freestyle souvenir cups: 15% off for Premier Passholders and 10% for Preferred Passholders. Refills are also cheaper for them. Plus, Passholders save on certain My Universal Photos services, though some restrictions apply – details are available on Universal’s website.
Restrictions and Clarifications
Universal passholders should know that the Express Pass benefit, which usually allows quicker access to rides, won’t be available at the new Epic Universe park, especially after 4 p.m. Universal clarified this in April 2025, correcting earlier information, and has repeatedly confirmed that current passholder benefits don’t include Express access at Epic Universe.

A significant drawback is that visiting Epic Universe isn’t covered by any existing Annual Pass. Guests with Annual Passes will still need to buy a separate ticket to enter the new park. Universal hasn’t indicated any plans to include Epic Universe access with its regular Annual Passes, and experts believe this suggests that won’t be happening anytime soon.
Conclusion
As a big Universal fan, I’m thrilled to hear they’re extending the perks for annual passholders for another year while Epic Universe is being built! It’s great that even though we still need separate admission tickets to the park, we’ll continue to enjoy discounts on things like parking, food, and souvenirs. It shows Universal is really listening to us and working to make the pass program even better as things change. It’s reassuring to know we’ll still get value while we eagerly await the opening of the new park!

This decision also leaves people wondering if Epic Universe will eventually be included in Universal’s yearly pass program, though Universal hasn’t announced any plans to do so.
