Beast Man confirmed to appear in live-action Masters of the Universe movie
Recent reports have confirmed who an actor in a motion-capture suit was playing during filming of the Masters of the Universe movie last summer. HeMania.com revealed the actor was portraying Beast Man, ending months of online speculation sparked by footage of him chasing Nicholas Galitzine (Prince Adam) and Camila Mendes (Teela) on set.
The recent confirmation has changed what we thought we knew about the monsters in the film. When the cast list came out, many fans assumed Hafthor Bjornsson’s character, Goat Man, would be the main villain. But now, it seems Beast Man will be a much bigger and more powerful creature, with a design that’s been greatly expanded from earlier ideas.
The movie’s cast also includes Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, and James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley playing King Randor and Queen Marlena. Alison Brie will play Evil-Lyn, and Sam C. Wilson, Kojo Attah, and Jon Xue Zhang will star as Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops, and Ram-Man.
The new movie will center around a young Prince Adam who unexpectedly lands on Earth and loses his powerful sword. Almost twenty years later, he finds the sword again, which sends him back to his home planet, Eternia. There, he must confront the villain Skeletor while also trying to piece together his lost memories and understand his past.
The first look at the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie should be available shortly. The film is currently set to hit theaters on June 5, 2026.
