Okay, so as a huge Spider-Man fan – especially with how amazing Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse looks – I’m seriously hyped! It feels like Christmas came early. Honestly, one of the best things about being into comics isn’t just reading them or watching the movies, it’s that feeling when you finally find the perfect collectible for your favorite character. It’s just awesome!
Marvel and Hot Toys have teamed up to create a special collectible figure for dedicated Spider-Man fans. It celebrates a unique version of the character – Takuya Yamashiro – who starred in a 1978 Japanese TV show. The figure depicts Yamashiro, a motorcyclist who gained spider-like powers after finding a spaceship and its last survivor from Planet Spider, named Garia. This highly detailed, 1/6th scale collectible is sure to appeal to those familiar with this rare iteration of the web-slinger.
Yamashiro, played by Shinji Tôdô in 1978, received powers from Garia’s blood and a special Spider-Bracelet. This bracelet also held the Spider Protector suit, which functioned similarly to Iron Man’s high-tech armor. Like Iron Man, the suit was contained within a wearable device and deployed when Yamashiro needed it to fight crime. While the show didn’t use the term ‘nanobots’ (the technology wasn’t widely known in the 1970s), the concept was similar.
This bracelet gives him more than superpowers—it can create webbing, call his flying car, the Spider Machine GP-7, or even summon the massive robot Leopardon to protect Earth from the evil Iron Cross Army and their leader, Professor Monster.
And it’s not just a cool figure, Hot Toys really wants us to remember that! The biggest thing is, this is a limited edition, so only a small number of us are going to be able to snag one. If you do manage to get your hands on it, you’ll definitely have something special to show off – owning this Japanese Spider-Man figure is serious bragging rights!
‘An emissary from hell. Spider-Man!’

This Spider-Man collectible is incredibly detailed, as you can see in the photos showing it from multiple angles. The pictures highlight everything, including a close look at the Spider Protector suit and the Spider-Bracelet, which actually opens to reveal a working screen and buttons. It even comes with the webbing Spider-Man shoots from the bracelet. This Japanese collectible is especially rare, with fewer than 2,000 units available worldwide.
This collectible figure is rare, with only 1,500 being made and sold in certain locations. It includes a newly designed masked head with detailed features for the nose and mouth. The figure wears a classic, stretchy Spider Protector suit and features his iconic Spider Bracelet. It comes with eleven different hands, allowing for a variety of dynamic poses – from fighting and climbing to shooting webs and striking dramatic stances.
Everyone’s excited about the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the last movie in the Miles Morales Spider-Verse series. There’s a lot of talk about what the film might include, and many fans are eager to collect the Yamashiro variant as a great way to continue enjoying the adventures of Spider-Man.
