Star Wars Revives The Acolyte With An Exciting New Release

Disney and Star Wars surprised fans with a big release for The Acolyte, even though the series was put on hold over a year ago. To mark the anniversary of the Star Wars Holiday Special and Life Day, Disney has launched new Star Wars experiences at Galaxy’s Edge in its parks and online. Among these is a particularly impressive Acolyte collectible.

Starting November 17th, fans of Star Wars can buy a limited-edition Lightsaber Set from ShopDisney. The set is based on the weapon used by Qimir, a character played by Manny Jacinto (also known as The Stranger). It includes several accessories and comes in a special box designed to look like The Stranger’s distinctive helmet and gauntlet.

Disney Has Just Released The Stranger’s Lightsaber From The Acolyte

The Stranger’s Legacy Lightsaber set is a striking Star Wars collectible, costing $325 USD. What makes it special is a feature taken from the Disney+ series, The Acolyte. In episode 5 of The Acolyte, the character Qimir separated his lightsaber into two parts, including a smaller, dagger-like blade, which he used effectively in a fight against Jedi Knights on the planet Khofar.

Disney’s latest Legacy Lightsaber is incredibly versatile – it can actually be separated into two different weapons! The set includes a shorter, 17-inch ‘shoto’ blade and a standard 31-inch blade. With its included display stand, this ‘Stranger’s Legacy Lightsaber’ set feels essential for fans of ‘The Acolyte’ and lightsaber collectors alike.

After The Acolyte’s Cancellation, Will Star Ever Continue Qimir’s Story?

Despite Disney canceling The Acolyte over a year ago, many fans are still hoping the story of The Stranger will continue somehow. It could be through a spin-off show, a movie, or even a book or comic, but The Stranger’s story deserves to be developed further.

It’s now confirmed that the Disney+ series The Acolyte included hidden hints suggesting Qimir was originally intended to be the first of the Knights of Ren – the group later led by Kylo Ren in the sequel trilogy.

It’s great to see new collectibles for Acolyte characters still coming out, especially The Stranger’s lightsaber today. It will look fantastic alongside The Stranger’s Black Series helmet from Hasbro, and also pairs well with Master Sol’s Legacy Lightsaber, which was released earlier this year for May the 4th.
