Paul Rudd And Jack Black Talk About Working Together On Their Anaconda Movie, And I Think A New Bromance Is Brewing

The movie Anaconda is the latest example, and this version promises to be funny, starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd. The two actors have been enthusiastically sharing their experiences working together, hinting at a blossoming friendship.

Many fans have fond memories of the 1997 film Anaconda and are excited about the upcoming new installment, hoping it will launch a successful franchise. The wait won’t be long – it’s scheduled for release in theaters this December as a self-aware reboot. The trailer suggests the film will use meta-commentary and allow the actors to showcase their comedic talents. In an interview with People magazine, Black praised the Ant-Man star, saying:

[It was] so fun. I’m a huge fan of Paul’s work. Dude is fucking hilarious. And a sweet pea to boot!

Isn’t Paul Rudd just the sweetest? Everyone knows about Ryan and Hugh’s fun friendship, and Ben and Matt have been close forever, but I’m getting serious vibes that Black Love and Paul Rudd are becoming a new favorite Hollywood duo. He clearly appreciates Paul’s humor, but it seems like he genuinely likes him as a person too! Seriously, is that movie they’re working on out yet? I can’t wait to see them together!

I remember when Paul Rudd was mostly known for making people laugh! Now, everyone knows him as Ant-Man from the Marvel movies, which you can watch on Disney+. But it’s cool to see him in a different role in Anacodona, and it sounds like he had a great time filming it – he even made a good friend on set!

I really enjoy working with Jack, and I was so happy we had the chance to collaborate on this project. We’ve worked together on smaller things before, but spending months on this was a truly great experience.

You know, it’s funny looking back at Jack Black and Paul Rudd’s careers – they actually worked together a couple of times before Anaconda. I remember spotting Jack in a quick cameo in Anchorman, and they both had roles in Walk Hard – Paul as John Lennon and Jack brilliantly playing Paul McCartney! But Anaconda was different; it gave them months on set, really letting them collaborate and bring the whole thing to life. It was cool to see that existing rapport translate to the screen.

It’ll be really interesting to see what people think of the new Anaconda movie. The series has always been straight horror, so this comedic turn is a big change. The fact that the new film acknowledges and references past installments suggests it’ll feel really modern and self-aware. And honestly, I’m hoping Jennifer Lopez makes an appearance – is that asking for too much?
