A release date has been announced for the new Doctor Who spinoff, The War Between the Land and the Sea. The five-part series, from current and former Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies, features Russell Tovey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Jemma Redgrave. It tells the story of a conflict between humans and the Homo Aqua, previously known as the Sea Devils.
I’m so excited! Russell T Davies and the BBC just announced when the new series will finally be here! It’s starting in the UK on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday, December 7th, with the first two episodes dropping all at once. Then, episodes three and four will be available on December 14th, and the big finale premieres on December 21st. You can check out Russell’s announcement post below – it’s brilliant!
The announcement also states the limited series will be available on Disney+ worldwide in 2026, but the specific release date is still to come.
