While a third season hasn’t been confirmed yet, fans have gotten a sneak peek at new animation. However, this footage actually comes from what’s planned for Season 4, not Season 3. The new material includes the first official anime design of Sung Jinwoo’s strongest Shadow Soldier, Bellion, the Grand Marshall of the Shadow Army.
The studio behind the SL anime, A-1 Pictures, created the opening cinematic for the new Solo Leveling: Karma video game, and it’s visually stunning. However, the opening contains major spoilers, revealing scenes from later in the story that won’t even appear until Season 3 of the Solo Leveling anime. This is because the Solo Leveling: Karma game is set during a specific 27-year period that was only briefly mentioned at the very end of the original Solo Leveling manhwa.
Solo Leveling Shares Scenes From Season 4 Before Even Announcing Season 3 (But That’s Actually Good News)
This depiction presents Sung Jinwoo in a surprisingly young form, a stark contrast to what fans typically see. This isn’t an error; it signals that Jinwoo has attained his ultimate, god-like power as seen in the final chapters of the Solo Leveling story. By the series’ end, Jinwoo gains the ability to alter his appearance and intentionally chooses a child-like form to discreetly reintegrate into society after the world’s timeline is reset.
The latest trailer focuses on events from later in the Solo Leveling story, suggesting Season 4 of the anime will cover those arcs rather than Season 3. It’s notable that A-1 Pictures chose scenes from the end of the series, and also included footage from Season 2. This clearly shows they’re deliberately skipping over storylines from Season 3, like Jinwoo’s return to the Double Dungeon and his battle with Thomas Andre.
A-1 Pictures isn’t sharing any footage from Season 3, probably to avoid revealing future storylines before they’re officially announced. There’s a strong possibility that a Solo Leveling movie will be released next year, potentially covering the current arc (though fans are hoping for a movie adaptation of the Kamish Raid instead). The lack of Season 3 content is actually a good sign, suggesting the studio is already planning and working on upcoming story arcs for the anime.
The new opening for Solo Leveling: Karma suggests Season 3 will be visually impressive, potentially even surpassing Season 2. This comes after reports that Netmarble, the company behind the Solo Leveling video game, invested $1.44 million in the anime’s production. While that investment seemed unusual at the time, the quality of work A-1 Pictures is doing on Solo Leveling: Karma now explains why.
Solo Leveling: Karma Reveals Bellion’s Anime Design in New Trailer

The latest trailer for Solo Leveling: Karma finally gives fans a look at how Bellion will appear in the anime. We see him fighting alongside Sung Jinwoo against the Monarchs’ forces, using his unique whip-sword.
Even though Season 3 hasn’t been officially announced, Bellion’s appearance in the anime could still be different when he finally appears. While the Solo Leveling video games have sometimes changed character designs, this version of Bellion is very close to how he looks in the original manhwa. The art style also fits well with the rest of the anime created by A-1 Pictures. It’s good to know that the opening sequence was made by the same team who worked on several episodes of Season 2, although the full list of staff involved in the Karma opening hasn’t been published yet.
I’m really excited about Solo Leveling: Karma. It seems like it’s finally going to show us the full story of Jinwoo’s 27-year battle against the Monarchs, and with A-1 Pictures working on it, I think it’s going to be something fans absolutely won’t want to miss. Honestly, it feels like the continuation of Solo Leveling we’ve all been waiting for – almost like Season 3 or 4 – and so far, it’s already surpassing what I expected.
