
Natasha Lyonne’s critically praised crime show has been cancelled by Peacock after two seasons. Despite the show receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews (a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes), the streaming service won’t be making a third season. However, both Lyonne and the show’s creator, Rian Johnson, are hoping to find a way to continue the series elsewhere.
Sources say the creators of Poker Face have been pitching the show to other networks for a renewal of at least two seasons. They’ve highlighted that Peter Dinklage, known for Game of Thrones, would take over the lead role of detective Charlie Cale. In a joint statement, Natasha Lyonne and Steve Johnson explained they’ve been planning this next step since finishing season two. They expressed their love for the show and hinted at a possible continuation, saying fans may see Charlie Cale back on the road in the future.
