Ground Up, the popular shoe brand, is partnering with Sanrio and Kids Foot Locker to release a special holiday collection. The new Ground Up x Sanrio sneakers feature beloved characters like Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Pompompurin, and Cinnamoroll, with the signature style Ground Up is known for. Sanrio’s Hello Kitty & Friends Return to Kids Foot Locker for Exclusive New Sneaker Release

Ground Up’s collaboration with Sanrio creates a sneaker that’s all about fun and nostalgia. Taking inspiration from beaded bracelets and collectible charms, the shoe captures the cheerful and magical spirit of Sanrio characters. It features a shimmering, synthetic leather upper, plus you can personalize it with included beaded charms. The new Ground Up x Sanrio sneaker is just one of many exciting partnerships Hello Kitty has been involved in this year. Fans can expect even more collaborations in the future, culminating in a Hello Kitty animated movie scheduled for release on July 21, 2028. Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and New Line Cinema are producing the film, with the screenplay being developed by Dana Fox, known for her work on Wicked.

The studio announced on social media that Hello Kitty will be coming to the big screen on July 21, 2028! This will be Hello Kitty’s first theatrical release in Hollywood, and the movie will follow Hello Kitty and her friends on an adventure designed to entertain audiences of all ages. The film is being produced by FlynnPictureCo., and its founder, Beau Flynn, spent almost ten years negotiating with Sanrio founder Shintaro Tsuji to secure the rights to make the movie.
