The animated show South Park is once again satirizing President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. Many viewers predict the newest episode, called Unholy Birth, will spark another angry reaction from the White House.
Last Wednesday’s episode of the animated show featured a shocking scene where the character Vance confessed his love for Donald Trump. The scene quickly escalated, showing them together in bed in the Lincoln Bedroom, which caused a huge backlash online. Viewers were particularly disturbed by what they described as disturbing imagery and awful dialogue.
Reactions to the latest South Park episode on X were all over the map, ranging from lighthearted amusement to outright disgust. Some viewers said it was genuinely disturbing and would give them nightmares. One fan even predicted the episode would provoke a response from Donald Trump or someone from the White House, saying it was likely to “trigger another White House response tomorrow.”
Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of South Park, are well-known for satirizing President Trump, his associates, and those who support him. In an interview with The New York Times, they explained that this approach is intended to reflect what’s happening in government and society. Parker described how political influence is pervasive, extending beyond official channels to include online platforms like podcasts, TikTok, and YouTube, blurring the lines between politics and popular culture.
The pair also shared their appreciation for the significant creative freedom Paramount Pictures allowed them. As Stone explained, despite concerns some might have about their work – referencing Stephen Colbert and depictions of Donald Trump – Paramount has given them complete artistic control, which he credits them for.
South Park airs new episodes on Wednesdays at 10:00 PM ET and 7:00 PM PT.
