AMC’s adaptation of Anne Rice’s work, starting with Interview With the Vampire in 2022, has become very popular. The franchise has expanded to include two additional series, with the newest one currently attracting a large audience on streaming platforms.
The new series Talamasca: The Secret Order launched on AMC and AMC+ on October 26th with the first two episodes. The first season will conclude on November 23th, and good news for international viewers: according to What’s on Netflix, the show will be available worldwide starting December 1st.
Unfortunately, viewers in the U.S. won’t be able to watch the show on Netflix right away. Netflix has a longstanding and successful partnership with AMC, and has streamed many of their programs, including the popular The Walking Dead and related series. Talamasca: The Secret Order will likely be available eventually, but it probably won’t be added to Netflix starting December 1st.
The show will premiere in several European countries, including the UK, Netherlands, France, Spain, and Germany, and will also be available in Latin American countries like Mexico and Brazil. However, it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether it will be available in Canada or Australia, as AMC and Stan already have streaming services in those regions.
A new Anne Rice series, called Talamasca: The Secret Order, will be released in the U.S. next year. While there’s no confirmed date yet, it could arrive at any point during the year. It’s currently unknown if AMC+ will have exclusive rights for the entire year, but it might become available on Netflix around the latter half of the year.
Talamasca: The Secret Order Had a Positive Reception
Although Interview With the Vampire remains the most popular show in the series, Talamasca: The Secret Order was also well-received. Following a less successful start to the Immortal Universe series with its first two seasons, Talamasca: The Secret Order earned enough positive feedback to be considered a success.
The fantasy series has received mixed reviews, with a 64% approval rating from critics and a 65% rating from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes. It has consistently been a popular show on AMC+, remaining at the top of their charts.
The fate of Talamasca: The Secret Order is currently unknown, as AMC hasn’t announced whether the show will continue beyond the main series. Season 3, which will premiere in 2026 on AMC and AMC+, is diverging from the first book and will instead be based on the second novel in the series.
The new series, Talamasca: The Secret Order, will begin streaming on Netflix December 1st. New episodes will also air on Sundays on AMC and AMC+.
