‘The Beast in Me’s Premise, Explained

Created by Gabe Rotter (known for The X-Files), The Beast in Me is a new eight-episode miniseries coming to Netflix on November 13, 2025. The series centers on Aggie Wiggs, a writer struggling with deep sadness after the loss of her son, Cooper. Unable to cope with the tragedy, Aggie isolates herself at home and withdraws from the world.

Aggie becomes intrigued when a successful realtor, Nile Jarvis, moves in next door. But her interest quickly turns into an obsession when she discovers Jarvis is a suspect in his wife’s disappearance. Aggie starts investigating him and uses his life as inspiration for her new book.
