The popular franchise has thrived for nearly three decades, and its dedicated fans have been collecting ever since. To celebrate its history and the first generation of characters, a new shoe collection will launch next year, designed to inspire fans to reach their full potential.
I’m seeing that Adidas and Pokémon are working together again! They first collaborated back in 2020, and this time it’s to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise with a new line of sneakers. From what I understand, the shoes will showcase some of the most recognizable Pokémon, including what’s likely the most famous Legendary Pokémon of them all.
Pokémon Celebrates 30 Years With New Adidas Shoe Collaboration

A special collection of Pokémon x Adidas shoes is coming out to celebrate 30 years of Pokémon! Fans will be able to buy the shoes starting in September 2026. While the original Pokémon games first came out in Japan in 1996, this release date matches the U.S. launch in 1998. The shoes, priced at $110, will be available online and in stores. The collaboration is drawing on the classic, original Pokémon designs, and the first release includes four Adidas Superstar shoes, with Pikachu getting two different color options.
Pikachu and Adidas are releasing special edition Superstar shoes in two color schemes: a classic yellow, black, and white, and a sleek white and black. Both pairs feature a subtle Pikachu tail design on the side. Charmander-inspired Superstars will be white with fiery yellow, red, and orange accents. The Charmeleon version comes in scarlet and cream, with white stripes mimicking the Pokémon’s claws. All of these shoes maintain the iconic Adidas Superstar look, except for the Mewtwo Samba OG shoes. These will be lavender and violet, designed to reflect Mewtwo’s psychic abilities. While fans will have to wait for the release date, these shoes are sure to be a stylish hit!
