I Can’t Get Enough Of Hilarious Allison Williams’ Outtakes In Regretting You, And We Have The Director To Thank For Them

The movie Regretting You is a serious drama, not a comedy, and tells the story of a family coping with the deaths of two people who were secretly having an affair. While the film is heavy, Allison Williams manages to inject some humor into a few scenes. A recently released blooper from the movie is surprisingly funny.

Remember the scene where Williams’ Morgan finds her daughter Clara (Mckenna Grace) smoking weed with a boy from school Miller (Mason Thames)? Check out some of the alternative ways she was going to drive up thanks to this Instagram post:

Paramount Pictures reports that director Josh Boone was so amused by Allison Williams’ performance in a particular scene that he asked her to do it repeatedly, just for his own enjoyment. That laughter you hear in the video? It’s Boone! And it’s easy to see why – Williams is incredibly funny in every single take. The intensity of her eye contact with her co-star, Thames Miller, is particularly entertaining to watch.

I have to say, that scene in the movie was genuinely hilarious! The way Morgan just appeared at that precise moment, from that angle… and her timing was perfect! She’s so believable, but also incredibly funny. And it’s not just that one moment – throughout Regretting You, she manages to find humor even while dealing with something so heartbreaking. She’s grieving the loss of her husband (Scott Eastwood), and on top of that, she discovers he was having an affair with her sister, Jenny (Willa Fitzgerald). It’s a tough situation, but Morgan handles it with this amazing blend of sadness and wit.

‘Regretting You’ Interviews With Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames, Dave Franco, Allison Williams & More

The movie Regretting You is adapted from Colleen Hoover’s popular novel of the same name. Director Josh Boone shared with us that while the author wasn’t heavily involved in making the film, the book itself was a major source of information for him, the crew, and the actors. Mckenna Grace mentioned she marked up her copy with lots of notes and would often point out specific details to Boone.

Although critics didn’t love the new movie Regretting You, audiences clearly did. It earned $54.7 million worldwide, which means it covered its costs and likely made a small profit. It’s not as big a hit as Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us (which made $351.4 million), but Regretting You didn’t have any reported issues during production.

The movie Regretting You is now playing in theaters! We’re excited to see any extra content released for it later, and we’re really hoping there’s a blooper reel – it’s sure to be hilarious.
