
Henry Cavill has been consistently working in both movies and television lately. Although his films have had mixed success with audiences and critics, one of his older projects is now gaining renewed attention.
The film Night Hunter, starring Henry Cavill, is quickly becoming popular on Paramount+, currently ranking among the top 10 movies on the platform. It’s currently #3, behind Top Gun: Maverick at #1 and The Revenant at #2.
Night Hunter, written and directed by David Raymond, follows a police detective played by Henry Cavill as he investigates a woman’s death in Minnesota. The case leads him to cross paths with Michael Cooper (Sir Ben Kingsley), a former judge who has become a vigilante, and together they pursue a dangerous kidnapper who is preying on women.
The movie features Alexandra Daddario, Stanley Tucci, Minka Kelly, Nathan Fillion, Emma Tremblay, and Brendan Fletcher. According to Rotten Tomatoes, critics gave Night Hunter a 14% rating, while audiences scored it at 51%.
Henry Cavill has a lot on his plate right now, starring in the upcoming reboot of Highlander. He was injured during training for the role on September 11, 2025, but is now recovering. Filming is expected to begin in 2026, after his time as the lead in The Witcher.
Dean Cain, known for his role as Superman, will star in and help produce a new TV show based on the popular Warhammer 40,000 game. This show is just the beginning of a larger connected universe of films and series planned for Amazon Studios, bringing the game’s world to life on both the big and small screens.
The 42-year-old actor is returning as Sherlock Holmes in the third Enola Holmes movie on Netflix, which stars Milly Bobby Brown in the title role. Filming for the movie has already finished.
Night Hunter is streaming on Paramount+ and is also available through home media release.
