Finn Wolfhard on Mike Wheeler’s Final Stranger Things Scene

The first part of Stranger Things Season 5 will be available on Netflix this month, with the initial four episodes launching on November 26th. Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, recently shared his emotional experience filming the show’s final scenes.

Finn Wolfhard recently told SFX Magazine about filming Mike’s final scenes and what fans can anticipate from his character in the last season. According to Wolfhard, Mike is completely focused on the task at hand, with he and his friends determined to defeat Vecna and bring everything to a close. He also discussed the emotional weight of Mike’s final moments.

Honestly, I was blown away by it. It really exceeded all my expectations – it felt much more impactful than I ever anticipated. Especially getting to the ending, and seeing how my character’s story wrapped up, it was just perfect. It was the best possible outcome, as far as I was concerned.

When Stranger Things premiered on Netflix in 2016, it quickly became a worldwide hit. After a three-year wait, fans are eager to see how the show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers, will finish the story, which is set in the 1980s in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana.

The show features a talented cast, including Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke.

In an interview with SFX, Gaten Matarazzo described filming season 5 as feeling like making “eight movies,” and said it features “higher stakes and a lot of action.” Noah Schnapp revealed that the new season will finally explain why Will was targeted in the first season and reveal his deeper connection to the Upside Down.

Wolfhard revealed that the show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers, built actual sets instead of relying on green screens, and that the set design was incredibly elaborate. Meanwhile, Caleb McLaughlin’s character, Lucas, is struggling with intense guilt and emotional trauma related to Max’s situation.

Season 5 promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the series. In addition, the creators, the Duffer Brothers, are developing an animated spin-off called Stranger Things: Tales from ‘85, scheduled for release early next year. According to Ross Duffer, the animation will explain events that occurred during a six-month period not shown in the main story.

The first part of Stranger Things Season 5 will be available to stream on November 26th, with the second part coming on December 25th, and the very last episode airing on December 31st.
