Blizzard Entertainment is known for its popular game franchises, and for about two decades, fans have gathered at BlizzCon in Anaheim, California to celebrate them. The convention is returning in 2026 after a brief hiatus, and will feature some new changes.
Blizzard has announced that early access passes will be available for purchase starting November 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time. These passes are the same as the general sale tickets, but will be offered with a $40 discount.
2026 BlizzCon Early Bird Passes Are On Sale Soon

BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment’s big annual convention that once drew up to 40,000 attendees for a weekend-long celebration, was paused in 2020 due to pandemic lockdowns. While it returned online and with limited in-person events in 2023, it’s been on break since. That’s changing in 2026 – BlizzCon will be back next year on September 12th and 13th.
Blizzard is offering special “early bird passes” for $249.99 to celebrate the convention’s return. These passes include exclusive souvenirs, in-game items, and access for both days of the event. If you don’t get an early bird pass, regular passes will be available starting Tuesday, November 18th at 9 AM Pacific Time for $289.99, but only while they last.
Blizzard announced the return of the Darkmoon Faire, a real-life event including a three-hour session on Saturday evening priced at $89.99. They’re also bringing back the BlizzCon Charity Night, where all proceeds from a special add-on purchase will be donated to Make-A-Wish. Attendees can expect to play demos of World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, Hearthstone, and Diablo Immortal.

They Aren’t Held As Regularly Now
Popular Blizzard games like World of Warcraft and Diablo 4 continue to receive updates and expansions, suggesting these franchises will be around for a long time. This could pave the way for BlizzCon to return on a yearly basis, as it did from 2005 to 2019.
I’ve been to BlizzCon a few times, and I’m always amazed by how enthusiastic the fans are and how much they love the big reveals. I’m hoping Blizzard is planning something exciting for the future.
