I think Charlie Cox really showed what he can do with his role in the 2021 series, Kin. While Daredevil definitely made him a household name, Kin was where he really got to display his depth as an actor. He plays Michael Kinsella, a man trying to turn his life around after getting out of prison, and it’s a really complex and compelling performance.
The series, Fate/Extra Last Encore, was made by the team behind Puella Magi Madoka Magica – Akiyuki Shinbo and Yukihiro Miyamoto – and Fate’s original creator, Kinoko Nasu. While set in the virtual world of SE.RA.PH, the show didn’t rely on typical virtual reality tropes. Instead, the animation studio Shaft crafted something unique and deserving of more attention from fans.
