I’m having trouble understanding why Colt Johnson and Cortney Reardanz are on Season 5 of 90 Day: The Single Life. While I was excited to see someone from 90 Day: Hunt For Love – like Elise on Before The 90 Days – join a spinoff, I’m not convinced this is a good fit.
The attempt to recapture the buzz of the ‘Barbenheimer’ phenomenon with new movie pairings didn’t quite work as well. While both Barbie and Oppenheimer were hits, only Wicked found similar success. But don’t worry, Robert Downey Jr. is bringing the fun back later this year with a new pairing he’s playfully called “Dunesday” – a combination of Dune and Wednesday.
The first season of the show begins January 18th and is based on the story The Hedge Knight. Even before the first season airs, it’s been confirmed there will be a second season, anticipated in 2027.
Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for The Bride, a fresh take on the classic Frankenstein story. Starring Jessie Buckley as the Bride and Christian Bale as Frankenstein, the trailer is full of striking images and a rebellious energy, driven by director Maggie Gyllenhaal. The film centers around Frankenstein (Bale) seeking a companion, leading him to Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening) who brings a murdered woman (Buckley) back to life. Details about Bridgerton Season 4 are still scarce, but the season will likely focus on Colin Bridgerton and his new romance with Sophie. So, I was reading an interview with Peter Jackson over at Empire – can you believe it’s been 25 years since The Fellowship of the Ring came out? Anyway, he dropped some exciting news: he’s still thinking about doing a huge documentary about making the Lord of the Rings trilogy! Apparently, it’s something he’s considered for a while, and it sounds like it could really happen someday. As a huge fan, I’m definitely hoping he does it – I’d love to see a deep dive into how those films were made.
