Featuring Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, and Kate Mara, the show is a sleek and suspenseful thriller filled with mystery, betrayal, and the emotional consequences of the crime. It’s a story that focuses just as much on the characters’ imperfections as it does on the surprising plot twists.

On April 14th, Disney’s new CEO, Josh D’Amaro, announced job cuts in a company memo, stating the need to “streamline operations.” This resulted in the elimination of around 1,000 positions, including roles within Marvel Studios, particularly impacting their visual development team. Among those laid off was Andy Park, a popular and long-time employee of 16 years.

Great news for fans of the giant shark movie! A sequel to 2024’s Under Paris is officially in the works. The original film, which featured a massive shark terrorizing the Seine River in Paris, was a huge success on Netflix, becoming the most popular French film and one of the most-watched foreign-language films ever on the platform. Development on Under Paris 2 began late last year, and the project has now reached a key stage.

Netflix has had mixed success with animation. While their film KPop Demon Hunters recently won an Oscar, many of their animated projects haven’t made a big impact – some were poorly received, and others simply couldn’t compete with Disney and Pixar. Sadly, their newest animated movie isn’t just likely to be forgotten; it’s one of their worst yet.

Despite everything, Doomsday is still expected to be a major financial success when it’s released later this year. Having Robert Downey Jr. reprise his role as the main villain will almost certainly help, as will the possibility of seeing familiar faces from the original movies.
