The second season of Netflix’s live-action series, One Piece, is now available and delivers on expectations. Like the first season, it remains faithful to Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, which began in 1997. One Piece has recently become the best-selling comic book series ever, even outselling Superman, demonstrating its enduring popularity. Beyond the live-action show, the series has also thrived as a long-running anime, which launched in 1999 and boasts over 1000 episodes, mirroring the manga’s extensive story.

Released on Netflix on June 20, 2025, KPop Demon Hunters quickly became a global hit. The animated movie, starring Arden Cho as Rumi, May Hong as Mira, and Ji-young Yoo as Zoey, has received numerous award nominations and wins. It’s currently nominated for two Academy Awards: Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.

Traditional TV is full of crime shows and procedural dramas where police, paramedics, and lawyers solve mysteries each week. Shows like NCIS (currently in its 23rd season) and Law & Order: SVU (season 27) have remained popular for years. However, with so many shows competing for viewers, it’s hard to launch something new, which makes ABC’s reboot of Magnum, P.I. particularly noteworthy.

Alongside the iconic Superman, several other DC heroes were introduced, such as Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl, Metamorphosis, and Guy Gardner. Gardner marks the beginning of the Green Lanterns in the DC Universe, and two new Lanterns will appear in the 2026 film, Lanterns.

This week, Disney+ is introducing “Verts,” a new feature for watching short, vertical videos – similar to TikTok or Instagram Reels. Designed primarily for mobile users, Verts aims to help people discover new shows and movies available on Disney+. Disney says this is only the beginning, and they plan to add even more content, including videos from fans and a wider range of storytelling formats and personalized recommendations.

I’m so excited! Hulu just dropped the official trailer for the Malcolm in the Middle revival, and it’s coming out on April 10th! I can’t wait to see what the family’s up to now.

The new TV drama has received generally positive reviews from critics, earning a 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, viewers aren’t as impressed, giving it a score of only 51% – a significant 25-point difference. This means the show is currently rated as ‘Stale’ on the Popcornmeter, as it hasn’t reached the 60% threshold needed to be considered ‘Hot’.

Despite being on the air for over 25 years, Family Guy has only had one spin-off series: The Cleveland Show, which focused on Cleveland Brown and ran from 2009 to 2013. Creator Seth MacFarlane, who continues to work on other projects, is now developing a second spin-off, this time centered around another member of the Griffin family.

Billy was a key part of Matlock’s original team alongside Madeline and Sarah, and he was expected to have a big role in Season 2. The storyline involving his character’s upcoming baby with his girlfriend was unfortunately dropped, and as of Episode 10, the actor has been replaced. In the episode “The Greater Good,” Matty and Olympia (Skye P. Marshall) welcome a new member to the team.

Plans are in motion for a new Stewie series to debut on Fox in the 2027-28 TV season, with episodes becoming available on Hulu and Disney+ the next day. The show will center around Stewie after he’s kicked out of his preschool and has to attend a less-than-stellar new one.
