Apple TV has a great selection of science fiction shows, and they’re adding even more new and returning series in the future. The most anticipated of these is their adaptation of William Gibson’s classic sci-fi novel, Neuromancer. For years, many believed Neuromancer would be impossible to adapt into a film or TV series, so it’s exciting that Apple TV is giving it a try.

So far, the ‘MandoVerse’ includes three seasons of The Mandalorian, the Book of Boba Fett series, Skeleton Crew, the first season of Ahsoka, and the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu movie. This connected universe has been a key focus for Lucasfilm since the Skywalker Saga finished, but it may be time for the stories to evolve and move in new directions.

Daisy Ridley recently spoke with ComicBook.com about how long it took to develop the new project and what it’s like returning to Star Wars after 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker.

As a big fan of sci-fi, I still think about Lost all the time. It really was something special, and honestly, it deserves all the praise it gets as one of the most ambitious shows ever. Sure, it wasn’t perfect, and the ending left a few questions unanswered, but the show’s impact is still incredible – nothing else quite compares.

James Gunn has stated the new Supergirl movie won’t be a strict adaptation of the comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. In an interview with Variety, Gunn explained they’re using ideas and pieces from the comic—which he calls “great”—but aren’t telling the exact same story. While the comic did inspire the movie’s overall feel and how it’s put together, it won’t be a scene-for-scene retelling.

I recently learned more about the upcoming Supergirl movie, and it sounds incredibly exciting! While Kara Zor-El is famously Superman’s cousin, director James Gunn is making it clear this will be her own unique story, and a big one – it’s going to expand the DC Universe into a much wider galactic landscape. Naturally, people are wondering if it will feel similar to Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy films, and he admits there are parallels. He told Variety it’s a “space fantasy” like Guardians, but heavily inspired by the Tom King Supergirl run – though they’re not sticking to the comics page-by-page. He emphasized they’re keeping the heart of that story intact, while still forging their own path.

Okay, so the second season of this fantasy series dives right into Rick Riordan’s ‘The Sea of Monsters.’ As a viewer, I found it follows Percy and Annabeth as they’re thrown into a pretty urgent mission: finding the Golden Fleece. It’s not just about mythical treasure though – their friend Grover is in trouble, and they’re racing against time to save him. It’s a classic quest narrative, and I thought it translated well from the page to the screen.
