Matt Damon & Kevin Smith’s ‘Dogma’ Is a Streaming Success on Apple Ahead of Sequel

Following the success of Good Will Hunting, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck teamed up again for a Kevin Smith film, Dogma (after first appearing in his 1997 movie Chasing Amy). Released in 1999, Dogma featured a large ensemble cast including Linda Fiorentino, Alan Rickman, Jason Mewes, Salma Hayek, Jason Lee, Chris Rock, Alanis Morissette, and even Smith himself. The film centers on Damon and Affleck playing two fallen angels, Loki and Bartleby, who are determined to get back to heaven, and the unlikely group—including the iconic Jay and Silent Bob—who try to prevent them. Recently, Kevin Smith hinted at a Dogma sequel, which has caused renewed interest in the original film and sent it climbing the charts on streaming platforms.
