The show, now in its eighth season, recently returned from a break that began in mid-December, and it’s quickly gaining popularity with viewers, as evidenced by its climb in the rankings. By February 23rd, fans were clearly tuning in again.

As a fan of the games, I was excited to see some new faces joining the cast – Adeline Rudolph as Kitana and Tati Gabrielle as Jade both look fantastic, and Martyn Ford is absolutely terrifying as Shao Kahn. Thankfully, Joe Taslim is back as Noob Saibot, which is a huge win. Simon McQuoid is returning to direct, and the script this time comes from Jeremy Slater, who recently worked on Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Overall, it’s shaping up to be a pretty promising continuation of the story.
