Weapons’ Aunt Gladys Actress Reveals The Stunt She Was Allowed To Do, And I Understand Why Producers Were ‘Nervous’

Thinking about all the movies I saw in 2025, the ending of Zach Cregger’s Weapons (which ranked highly among the year’s best films) stands out as my favorite. The movie itself is a thrilling, unpredictable ride, but the climax is truly exceptional. Seeing Amy Madigan’s character, the unsettling Aunt Gladys, desperately running from a group of children was a fantastic and terrifying moment that audiences loved. It’s even more impressive knowing Madigan did most of the running herself, without a stunt double!

Upcoming Thriller Starring Evan Peters, The Beauty, Will Be The Ultimate Body Horror

A new body horror series sounds promising, and this genre has proven popular with audiences before. While horror comes in many forms, there’s a unique appeal to seeing the body transformed or damaged. It will be challenging for The Beauty to reach the heights of shows like Alien, Hannibal, American Horror Story, or Parasyte: The Grey, but it has a great opportunity to succeed.

James Cameron Says Long-Rumored ‘Fantastic Voyage’ Could Happen 2026

James Cameron’s main focus right now is ensuring the success of the Avatar franchise. Although the recently released third film is nearing $400 million in earnings, Cameron knows that securing funding for the fourth and fifth installments won’t be simple. In an interview with Deadline‘s Behind the Lens, he explained that while the films are likely to be both expensive and profitable, it’s not guaranteed that they’ll earn enough to justify the cost.

Anthony Mackie’s 8 Mile Leaves Netflix: Catch It Before Jan 1

The movie 8 Mile will be removed from the streaming service on January 1st. Released in November 2002, this rap drama is inspired by Eminem’s early life and tells the story of Jimmy “B-Rabbit” Smith Jr., a young rapper trying to succeed in Detroit’s competitive music world.

‘Pluribus’ Season 1 Finale Is a Bad End for the Best New Series

Many shows end their seasons with dramatic cliffhangers – think of series like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. Severance on Apple TV is also known for particularly frustrating, yet clever, season finales. However, the new show Pluribus, which everyone’s been looking forward to in 2025, didn’t leave viewers with a mystery to ponder until the next season. Instead, the ending felt like a loose end that should have been tied up in a subsequent episode… but unfortunately, there won’t be any more episodes this season.

Doctor Zhivago: David Lean’s 1965 Masterpiece Based On A Banned Book

David Lean directed several truly exceptional films, considered among the best ever made. These include classics like Lawrence of Arabia (1962) and The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957). Another film of similar quality was Doctor Zhivago (1965), which was based on a novel by Boris Pasternak that had been prohibited in some places.

Netflix’s Cobra Kai Shows Disney How Legacy Sequels Are Done

The 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens is probably the most well-known example of a legacy sequel. While fans generally liked it, the subsequent Star Wars films and spin-offs Disney made were often divisive. Many felt these new stories didn’t build on the original films, and actually detracted from their impact. In contrast, Netflix’s Cobra Kai has been a success in continuing a beloved story.
