Seeing Amy Madigan’s character, the unsettling Aunt Gladys, desperately running from a group of children was a fantastic and terrifying moment that audiences loved. It’s even more impressive knowing Madigan did most of the running herself, without a stunt double!
A new body horror series sounds promising, and this genre has proven popular with audiences before. While horror comes in many forms, there’s a unique appeal to seeing the body transformed or damaged. It will be challenging for The Beauty to reach the heights of shows like Alien, Hannibal, American Horror Story, or Parasyte: The Grey, but it has a great opportunity to succeed.
