Before the events of Game of Thrones, Ned Stark lived a full life, and a key part of his story was Robert Baratheon’s rebellion. Now that a stage play about the rebellion is planned, it’s likely we’ll also see it adapted into a TV show or movie. While Sean Bean famously played Ned Stark, this new adaptation will allow a different actor to portray a younger version of the character.

I just heard about this movie coming out in 2025 and I’m already intrigued. It’s a biopic starring Robert Aramayo – you might recognize him from Lord of the Rings – and he’s playing John Davidson, a Scottish activist who lives with a really severe form of Tourette’s Syndrome. Basically, it’s a genetic condition that causes involuntary movements and sounds, what they call ‘tics.’ A lot of people probably remember Davidson from the incident at the BAFTA awards a while back. He unexpectedly yelled out a really offensive slur while Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were presenting. He’s apologized, both publicly and privately, and explained it was due to his Tourette’s, saying the condition is often misunderstood. But honestly, it caused a huge uproar online, and a lot of people weren’t buying the ‘it was a tic’ explanation. BAFTA even had to release a statement taking responsibility for putting everyone in such an awkward position and apologizing to everyone involved. It sounds like a really complex and challenging story, and I’m curious to see how the film handles it all.
Now that Spider-Man: No Way Home is coming to Disney+ this month, the service has become a great place to watch the best Marvel Cinematic Universe films. While Marvel movies are known for their superheroes, they also heavily feature science fiction. Concepts like time travel, the Quantum Realm, and the multiverse are all key parts of the stories. Plus, many heroes—including Captain America, Captain Marvel, and the Hulk—gained their abilities through scientific events.

As a Western fan, I’ve seen a lot of new movies come out over the last quarter-century – films with fresh ideas and backed by solid funding. But some really stand out. I think these ten Westerns aren’t just good – they’re essential viewing. They’ve come out since 2000 and really define what the genre has become, whether they’re intense dramas or straight-up action films. They’re just on another level.
