And if you love that movie, you absolutely have to check out his TV series. Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and Masters of the Air – it’s basically a TV trilogy that’s just as powerful and gripping.

Around 2012, the streaming service began making its own shows, but it also started rescuing shows that other networks had dropped. It’s interesting to remember a time when Netflix focused more on getting shows than creating them from scratch – bringing in programs that already had fans and offering them a chance to end on their own terms, even if those revivals didn’t last very long.

So far, the DC Universe has given us The Flash, the first solo movie starring the character in years, and we can look forward to stories featuring Supergirl, the Green Lantern team, and the Batman enemy Clayface.
