With the fifth season of Slow Horses concluding on October 29, 2025, it’s expected that season six won’t arrive for about a year. This new season will be based on Mick Herron’s novels, Joe Country and Slough House. A year between seasons is typical for the show. Similar to the strong cast of Slow Horses, Down Cemetery Road features impressive acting talent. Emma Thompson plays Zoë Boehm, a private investigator who takes on a challenging case involving arson and a missing person. A woman named Sarah Tucker (played by Ruth Wilson) hires Zoë to investigate what was initially reported as a house explosion and tragic accident, but the truth turns out to be far more complicated.
